An alternative interpretation of
Vale of Banburn, i.e. the name of the vale seen on
Level 1 of Series 3, as referred to by the
elf Velda during her encounter with
Team 3 of Series 3. It is one of a number of uncertainties associated with the Velda's pronunciation and vocabulary in that scene.
David Rowe's Art of Knightmare book opts for Banburn over Vanburn. So does his website.
The name used for the Vale of Banburn in production is thought to have been 'Death Valley'. This is based on filenames used on David Rowe's website. As further evidence, according to Art of Knightmare, the multi-view
cavern range in Level 2 of Series 3 was known as
Death Valley 2.
